A ghost in the wood,
Leaves no trace,
But pawprints,
Soon covered by falling,
Snow.
Silent and stealthy as
A shadow.
Surveying its territory.
A sound,
Ears prick forward,
A cry to the night,
Threatens to knock the moon,
Off her pedestal.
The hunt is on.
Branches rattle,
Snow flies,
Muscles tense,
Leap!
The enemy brought down,
Satisfied is slinks back,
Into the night.
Wolf,
Is master,
Of this forest .
I am Shadow Wolf
By: Deep Shadows
I am the shadow of the pack
The memory that theyd rather forget
But like the nightmare I was born from
I wont die
Im the pup no one wanted
And the wolf no one will ever forget
I am the shadow of the pack
The shadow wolf
I am the stellar wolf.
With eyes of amber,
Which hold fallen stars,
And that reflect the moon's glow.
I am the Inferno wolf.
With my fiery heart,
That burns for a mate.
And the passion to run free.
I am the Aquatic wolf.
With my liquid movements,
That help calm my pack,
In times of confusion and pain.
I am the Wooded wolf.
With my pine needle fur,
That stands on end in fury,
When danger threatens my pack.
I am the Aero wolf.
With my bone chilling growls,
And my light hearted howls,
That reach even the heavens in the sky.
I am the Earthen wolf.
With my sand paper paws,
That help me grip,
And rip into the earth when I run
Snowflakes fall, blood is in the air,
Covering white figure of pride,
Lying forceless on the ground,
Having no strength to fight with the snow,
Nor even with reality,
Which drifts down from the empty sky,
Where the moon cannot be seen,
Where birds cannot be heard,
At which wolves can only howl.
Looking through my opened window
Unable to sleep at all
I hear a wolf's cry
Full of sadness and pain
At the sound of it I start to cry
Running into the forest with only my pjs
I follow the trails of wolves
Looking for wounded soul that cried
Finding the wounded animal
Knowing it's about to die
I get on my knees and craddle it's head
Singing a wolf's lullaby
Several years later unable to sleep again
I hear the sound of wolves crying
Full of happiness and rejoice
I fall asleep at the sound of a wolf's lullaby
I saw my soul that day
I saw it in a pair of amber eyes
Full of sorrow and understanding
I saw the true me that day
In the swiftness of running
On four feet instead of two
Claws and teeth ferocious
As well as kind
I found my true name
In the warm grey fur
Hard and stiff like rocks
Yet soft like velvet
I saw how wonderous the wild is
In song, and soft moss bedding
To work as a team, and to love
I found myself that day
I was lost and blind before
I found myself in the eyes
The eyes of a wolf
He showed me the path
That was hidden
The magic of living again
Not dying, if not for him
I would be dead
I shall never forget that
Look deep inside the eyes of the wolf:
You will see the stars and the heavens,
the hunt and the kill,
the beginning and the end,
the past and the future,
the captive and the wild,
your soul and your fate.
Eternal guardian of the forest
Whose pale eyes glow from the shadows
Running with the wind, fluid and sleek
Your fangs alone make the law
With the stars reflecting off your coat
Of burnished silver fire
Your ears are alert and forward
As a howl echos in the distance
Standing alone, watching through the night
As the moon travels the path of the sky
Unknown, unseen, but forever needed
Wolf...protector of the forest
Protect the weak, join the strong
Pass the birthright to your young
Wolf...guardian of the forest
May you always remain eternal
Let me tell you a word,
A word of the book of the moon
When earth was born
Wolfs ruled all
And from wolfs were born
Humans.
Their messengers of the red moon
When the flower of lunar blooms
May the paradise of wolfs be opened
By the wolf of legend
His fur as white as the lunar flower
His blood as pure as the ocean is blue
His pride,
Unbreakable even to his own heart
He guides the wolfs of brown and gray
And to the end is were they are to stay
In the end I will tell you now
Blood ran free on the snow covered ground
As the wolf of black appeared to kill
To take the flower
And murder it still
Though her blood alone is poison,
The wolf howls,
Calling for its mate,
Knowing that its heart,
Has met its fate.
He has loved before,
Choosing those he sees as best,
Telling all others,
That they just jest.
Now its mate leaves,
She has chosen another,
This wolfs heart,
Has been torn ashunder.
